Managed to 'bag a deal' with Helmet City at the NEC yesterday (thanks Judge :thumb2) and now in the market for the SCR comms unit....any comments/feedback from anyone would be appreciated.

Prices vary dramatically...

UK @ £300 +
Revzilla@ £205
Biker land.de @ £213
FCMoto @ £245

Do you mean the Schuberth SRC comms unit ? if so I have one on my C3 pro , works well paired to my Zumo 660 and my Iphone paired to that , but found the C3 pro bloody noisy compared to non flip helmets I have had , so had Ultimate ear of Orpington modify my SRC collar to have a jack plug lead instead of the speakers and plug in my moulded ear speakers , perfect now

Thanks for the reply General ....my spelling mistake (or iPad predictive text!) but yes, the SRC system. Am aware of Ultimate - have had several sets previously -but will only use their plugs now.
Will probably end up with the SRC although Sena 10's or 20's still in the running. :beerjug:

Have the SRC on C3 pro. Does what it says on the can very well. Additionally the radio works incredibly better than the Sena S20.

The s20 was brilliant and did so much more but pressing this button that button or yelling into the Vox it was too complicated as a headset.

SRC is simple to use, perfectly integrated into the helmet and works well with bluetoothed items.

Do tell .... ( or PM), how much was the c3 pro at the show?

I have been using the SRC in a C3 PRO for about a year and would recommend it too. I don't use the radio but it is very good. Always pairs with my HTC without fail and via my zumo 550 when abroad. Battery last ages too. I only have a 25 min commute and use it every day there and back. I charge it about every 5 weeks!

Appreciate the replies chaps ... Looks like Revzilla will be getting a call

Got to agree about the battery life too , misplaced my charger and it went weeks before saying "battery low"

Finally managed to get the SRC unit from Revzilla in USA and saved ££££££'s (£200 as opposed to £340 + here).

Bit fiddly to insert the collar to start with but, when in place, you realise it has to be tight to give it a solid seating.

Been setting up the radio/gps/phone this morning in the mist of last nights booze which was pretty straight forward and look forward to putting it into service.

So far very impressed with what I see:thumb2

I'm considering an SRC also to replace Interphone kit. I take it that with the built in collar you need to take the helmet indoors for charging.
Is the battery detachable for or should I be looking at wiring my top box for recharging?
Any thoughts ?

Same here, but does anyone know if it will pair with the latest Interphone F5MC, as a few mates have these?

Nutty I believe it will only pair with other shuberths or Cardo Scala sets (as the SRC is made by Cardo Scala.

As for charging. Battery is integrated into collar and not removeable. There is a usb mini connector on a short lead that tucks into the back of the helmet for plugging in and recharging. Does not need to charged too often (obviously depending on use).

Not sure leaving it in a top box, if conditions are damp would prolong the life of the SRC system or the helmet. Mine was so expensive all together that it gets put in its helmet bag every night and lives in my Warm utility room.

I do a lot of ferry trips, so unclipping an Interphone to charge in the cabin overnight is really welcome and saves carting helmets around.

There's a few Scala around here that I would like to connect to for longer trips, so I'm also looking at the F5MC for the same reason and they do seem to have built in the "Anycom" function to connect to third party BT headsets, which (assuming it works) has hitherto not been possible to a third party device.

Anyone tried these out yet?

Thanks for that, we tend to run with the top box to keep the helmets secure when away so an overnight charge could work, sometimes use a coiled lead into the tank bag just now.
You're absolutely right about leaving gear wet in the box, it'll only suffer!

Just bought an Interphone F5MC from Italy, from this shop:

http://motointercom.eu/shop/en/4-interphone-cellularline

I've bought a battery power pack, like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Portable-...343?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item23462513a7

to charge the Interphones batteries when we're off the bike for a while. Need to get both helmets into one top box etc, or remove one unit and have it next to the other. Top up the power pack by an on bike charger, and Robert is the name of a close male relative.

There are two ways of charging the F5MC, one of which is through the bit that has the leads that go to the headset / microphone and is 2.5mm in diameter, and also one without the lead which I'll guess is a proprietary one.

So to charge units off the bike you'll need one of these:

http://motointercom.eu/shop/en/part...le-interphone-cellularline-8018080154089.html

and I got one with my F5MC dual kit, or to charge two units at once you'll need to buy:

http://motointercom.eu/shop/en/part...llularline-220v-charger-power-supply-220.html

The 2.5mm plug has a dual outlet and a USB plug on the other end and is in the kit I bought, but this will only work with the unit fitted to the helmet, unless you have a spare headset lying about.

I already have those two connectors from earlier F3 and F4 versions, so that is really useful info.
Main concern is I hope that they have improved the connector detail into the Bluetooth unit, this is where the cables often fail internally or the connector splits.
The new fitment into the unit might help avoid damage.
It should be possible to take the remaining earlier F4 as a spare and pair up if I have problems.
Is Robert at the Italian end of things?

FYI Schuberth will NOT connect with Scala G2 unless it is pro version. We found out yesterday after 2 hours of pissing about :blast. There may be an SRC system for sale soon (Brand new unused!!) let you know.

From the Cardo website.
Your Schuberth SRC-System is compatible with the following scala rider models for intercom communication:

G9
G4
Q3*
Q1
Q2 PRO

*When pairing with the scala rider Q3 – both devices should pair on Channel A.

I have the SCR system and it's the only intercom that I have got on with, I found the AutoCom fiddly and always needed adjustment. But the I do sell them too. £260 with a Helmet or £280 without, posted.
Andrew

I have a C3 Pro and fitted the SRC for the C3 (ie. not the pro) and it works fine. Anyone any idea what the difference between the SRC c£ version and the C3 Pro version?

Any way to connect a SCR with the BMW systems 6 Bluetooth set-up ?
