Unfortunately a bit of a tale of woe:

I've just returned from a Highland trip, at Durness whilst taking photos, my Schuberth S1 blew off a 150 cliff!!!

I was lucky that the tide was out and it appeared to bounce over grassy tufts before coming to rest in the sand.

Unfortunately the visor ripped off due to the mechanism breaking. Fortunately I managed to tape it up, but the mech is broken.

If I dropped my helmet onto the ground I'd be worried, for it to go into semi orbit means I need a replacement!!!

I liked my Schuberth, and looking tonight I've read about the SR1.

Anyone got one?
What do you think?
What is the best price?
Any good alternative?

Thanks,

Paul

Love my S1 and C3 to bits BUT and this is the caveat with Schuberth don't buy from the first batch that hits the shops as they seem to have problems which then get sorted after customer feedback.

My C3 had problems with the visor pivot arrangement, my BMW System 5 (schuberth made) had problems with the straps ripping open the cheek pads.
The original S1 had loads of visor problems, yet mine bought a year or so after production started was fine.
