I want to get bluetooth sat nav instructions into my helmet. I really don't want something bolted onto the side of the helmet so that leaves Nolan or Schuberth. The Nolan is not up to much I'm told, so yesterday I went to Helmet city to try the schuberth. Now their demo is an XL and I need a L and I didn't have time to fine tune the speaker position, but I found the setup far too quiet, even using the mp3 wire. I need to hear it wearing earplugs and over sirens. I have spent hours trawling the net looking for answers but to no avail.
So anyone who's got one who wears ear plugs, can you hear the GPS when the ambient outside noise is loud? ie. at speed

Thanks

Steve

Steve Ultimate Ear can supply a nice set of sound ears that can be used with certain intercoms systems not sure thats what u want but they can be used with good intercoms like Autocom and Starcom.

Thanks Mick, we have indeed converted a couple of Schuberth SRC's for use with our monitors but I cannot answer the question on sound quality of the system using their own surface mounted speakers for users with ear plugs.

To be fair if there is a shortcoming in them for ear plug wearers they are in tune with pretty much most intercom systems (wireless or wired) in coming up short.

That's why we offer capability with pretty much all of them by way of in-house adaption with our SoundEar monitors.

SPM0912 - Been using the Nolan 103 for 18months with the Autocom speakers in the sides. I get excellent sound even with earplugs in.
Only comment on the N103 is that the ventilation is not as good as the Aria I had previously. Bought the Nolan for the flip up front.

I've had the SRC for a month now and generally I'm quite happy. The sound quality is good and I can hear it even with ear plugs in. At the moment I'm using the tom-tom app on my iPhone 4 and it bluetooths seamlessly to my speakers. This is also the case with my music from my iPhone.
Phone calls can be a bit quiet sometimes and the music doesn't always resume after the call is terminated. The SRC has a built in fm radio which complete pants and only picks up a radio station every now and again. My big criticism is with the position of the buttons on the SRC which can be hard to feel whilst wearing gloves. But on the whole I like it.

Hope this helps...

I have a set of UE monitors which I rate highly (you'll be pleased to know Judge!) and I've been using them with my iphone Tom Tom app and it works brilliantly and that's maybe the problem, I'm expecting too much from speakers.

Trouble is I need to wear a Genisis head set at work (in ear speakers for a radio) so ear monitors are out.

However, just a thought, Judge, do you think you could fit an in ear monitor to a scala rider unit? I don't need the boom so could mount the bluetooth unit to my person and run the wire up to my right ear and keep the Genisis in my left ear. I'm local to you so could pop the whole lot down for you to look at if that's OK?

First one we did was my Scala Rider although the original Scala Rider is a mono unit.

But we've done the Scala Team and G4 as well as Interphone F2 & F4 and the original one, as well as Nolan and Shuberth.

WE can by all means meet and see what you've got and where you want to go with it, drop me a PM and we can sort something out.

Cheers,

Andy
