Scone Scoffers Scoot off to Scotland 2015 ** Live Report **

Well I've had a great trip, still not over. Learnt so much ! I've learnt that you can rag a KTM990 to death and it won't let you down. I've learnt that mitas Dakar 09's are indestructible. I've learnt that Yorkshire men can be really funny and get a round in when it's not their turn (twice). I've learnt that cow shit is much more slippy than sheep shit.
Cow shit is more viscous, I think it's from the anal glands, they produce a fluid that helps the flow. I think.
Plus sheep shit is more solid and tastes like licking a 9 volt battery. It's rounder and easer to header.

Guys
Thanks for being such excellent company I have had a thoroughly super time !

My observations are however

If any one has shares in a petroleum company your dividend will be larger thanks to that KTM !

It was a shame 8 of us kept getting lost !

It was John Bailey that made me go that fast !

and the XR is the best bike in the world.

I will post a couple of pics when i get round to it but a great trip and thanks one and all for coming

My stats for the trip for those interested are

1425 miles
moving average 48mph
overall average 43 mph
Fuel economy 46 mpg

Max speed ???

Weight gained half a stone

That's a pretty good moving average speed for the west coast...... You boys must have been close to the national speed limit at times :green gri:D

Of 1425 miles only 70 was motorway the rest was A & B roads so we kept just inside the national speed limit to achieve that average

My top rated scone from the tearoom at Glenlyon.

Mr Moon just back from finding another green lane, no wonder we had to keep stopping to top up, he rode twice as far as the rest of us
