Does anyone have any opinions / experience of this bike ? I want to do some Enduros, and generally have some great days "out in the hills". Other alternative would be KTM enduros of similar capacity - any opinions on one over the other would be appreciated, esp. from an experienced enduro rider - cheers. :green gri

Saw one being used on the Ryedale Rally this year. Looked to be doing OK. The tank range won't be great I don't think and it's a bit of a compromise being a trials bike trying to be an enduro. If you want to compete then get a proper Enduro bike, KTM, Husaberg, Yamaha etc. If you just want fun then the Scorpa would be great fun.

Trail riding , enduro /hare and hounds events,

KTM 200 exc perfect first bike :thumb2

Been around for ever dead easy to work on and find spares ...

Or the Yamaha WRF 250 my favorite but as others have said before the little KTM 2 stroke is so easy to work on :clap

scorpa's a trail bike not an enduro.

it could be usefull on a really shitty tight enduro but as the others have said you'd be better with a 200 2stroke. Look at either a KTM EXC200 or a GasGas EC200, the gasser is cheaper and a little more stable as its more of a beginners bike where the EXC is a little more race bred. gasser parts are easy to get and cheaper than ktm.
I may know of an EC200 for sale, its an 04 i think but had very little use and is in very nice condition. Last time i spoke with him he said it was up for £1800.

Take on board what you are all saying, thank you - I know its a middle ground between enduro and trail / trials bike - why exactly will it not be good enough for competitive enduros?
On a more general note, 4 stroke v 2 stroke; air cooled v water cooled - my understanding is that 4 stroke requires less maintenance, although it may be more expensive to service, and air cooled means less can go wrong eg. shit getting in to radiator causing engine perhaps to go - kaboom!!! --- More opinions por favor.... S :green gri

TBM did a review of it I believe. They also did the Long Ride.

The reason it won't be competative is that Hare&Hounds and Enduros will soon find the limits of the suspension and gearing. H&H and full Enduros can be tough, some very tough, even purpose built bikes struggle on some of them. Rallies can have long fire road/piste sections and I would imagine that not only is the final ratio geared toward trials but that the whole gear box is.

The GasGas EC200 or 250 are great bikes and very easy to maintain, you could also look at the KTM 400/450 and Berg 450 4-Strokes, again, great bikes and with the market the way it is you'd no doubt find a bargain for well under £2000.

Depending on where you are in the country there must be a few guys on here that would let you have a go on some of their bikes. You're welcome to try one of my Husabergs.
