my gs doesnt arrive untill march so i cant addvise on how they work with the gs but i have had them on my last 3 bikes and found them to be excellent value for money
I have a good bit of kit that you can remove the db killer from & get some noise out of or leave it in for oe noise levels.
If you do get one be careful the first time you raise the centrestand as the c stand foot can catch & mark the swingarm. BE WARNED!!!!! It happened to me & I had them make another bump stop bracket & connector pipe.
The same thing happened to me with mine, the swingarm is now marked on the underside. I should make an extension to the centrestand stop rubber, I've just been too lazy lately.
The 'Baffle' is VERY restrictive and when removed, you can see it has a coarse mesh simply tack-welded over the end of a solid pipe The tack welds are a bit weak on this, if you know what I mean. Apparently my colleagues think it isn't too loud without a mesh on the baffle yet it flows a lot better and still has that road-legal appearance when viewed by a trailing Gendarme.
Without any baffle fitted the can is just too loud and will attract unwanted attention.
Three days ago I got a tap on the shoulder whilst waiting at the lights from plod. I initially thought I was going to get pulled for a can inspection etc, instead he told me he thought he could see a shiny nail in my tyre. Luckily whatever it was had gone when I found a safe place to pull over and check it properly so it wasn't a nail (nearly new tyre too, phew...££££ )
