I dislike the ride home no matter how good the roads are as it is the end of a chapter in my life but home we must go
it rained alot around us but not much on us but the heated grips were shit

It went horribly wrong at Bonchester Bridge as my nice road into Kielder was closed !
We ended up in Bellingham for tea nad Scones and cake then headed to Barnard castle and the A1

A word about the Bike and the Kit

My Bike was a pleasure despite the piss poor heeated grips and i love it! No snags or faults just brilliant I would not wanted any other bike, not even one of those Orange bastards that Giles keeps blathering on about !
The Klim Suit performed as it has in the past which is ultra reliable in some appalling weather
Arai tour 4 best lid i have ever had
Sidi Adventures kept my tootsies warm and dry no issues

We covered 1447 miles in 6 days
We had an average speed of 46 MPH
Riding time was 29 hours
i did 7894 gear changes
the average temerature was 9 degrees ( my heated grips are shit)
I manged 49.6 MPG ! and hit a max speed of the legal limit !

The only problems we had from 9 bikes was a blown bulb and the only other issue was a helmet leaked a bit !

It was feckin brilliant and I am going to do it again in September anyone want to come ???

Gear changes? Where did that info, come from then?

He measure'd the size of the bunion on the top of his left foot, then worked it out.:D

I prefer that response to Nutty's.:D Why on earth would someone design that kind of feature into software? I assume the Nav links in with the EMS then?

Yep
Full data logging including brake use throttle position the full shebang

Why ? I have no idea but it is fun to have a look occasionally

uh-0h!

Enjoyed the read and pics but whats with the wannabes in their fluo with the blue badges on the back ? Genuine question.

...they're everywhere!! (but really, why??) :blast

Great ride report too. I was up there a couple of weeks ago doing a route upt through Wales, Lake District, Trossachs and back down through the Pennines and Yorkshire Moors....not one bit of rain either!!

I notice you have a Drift or GoPro mounted on the crash bar (LC) via a ram mount.... any vibey reactions or is it a good place to mount ?

It wasn't too bad but not brilliant re the vibes the biggest issue was heat haze from the rad.

Best place is a mount from an indicator stalk
