I think what you're trying to say is that you thought about visitng here on holiday. I wouldn't bother. It's cold and the scenery is terrible. So are the roads.

You'd hate the place.

Anticipation is often better than realisation. Though sometimes I am not so sure.

Thankfully it seems it will be dark through most of my time in the heathen heathered highlands in a week or two... So I will be spared the seemingly grim reality of actually seeing it.

By way of gentle acclimatisation to northern latitudes I went to Manchester and the dales last weekend.... bloody muddy....and just as odd as I feared.....

Looking forward to it no end....
