Been thinking about what to do this summer - I've been given a pass for about one week.
Europe beckoned but I like the idea of touring scotland. First thoughts were head NW from Lincolnshire vai the lake district, head up to Skye, round the north coast and then back down the east coast and home.
Obviously at the crude planning stage at the moment but I would like to see skye and loch ness.
I would be taking the tent but would not be adverse to saying in a b&b.
Any ideas?
Thanks:thumb2

keep it simple and stick to what you suggest but be prepared to be flexible and explore a bit.west coast is beautiful and you can camp wild in lots of places and there are some lovely beaches to be found in the middle of nowhere

Pack some midge cream?

Skye is nice, but the ride up the coast looking over it after the Bealach na Baa is stunning. Best pack the wet weather kit as well which might mean the B & B will be a welcome option at times. Might have snow as well  the OAT gauge had 4.5 degrees C at the top of the Bealach na Baa at the end of May.

Loads of roads, probably hard to find any bad ones north of Loch Lomond.
