Ah, the Johanniskreuz run ...We always do it mid week as there's less traffic on the road. Much less. Here's pic of the hotel car park last time I was there. Three bikes including mine. I bet there were a "few" more when you visited.

At one time, the road was closed to bikes at weekends as there were so many RTAs.

Can't think of Wolfstein but I'll need to check it out. Sounds good.

Oh, the red wine. Dornfelder? Lovely drop of stuff According to Christine, some of the German "Portugeser" wines are first class too.

Thats the very place Ronno, there were several corners coming up the valley that had crowds of people watching the fast boys flying up there. I must admit that the 1150 Adventure was superb on these roads and suprised even myself. Far more stable than the 1200 and although not as fast out of the bends held the line through them every time.

You may be right about the wine by the way as I think it may have had Portgueser on the label if not that night the previous note at Porten.

What a fantastic place Germany is Superb beer and as for the Schwarzwald Gattox

I was over much the same area of France, Switz and Italy back in June. TOok a slightly different route through the Black Forest.

If you liked the 190SL you would have loved the 300SL Gullwing which was there too. I liked this older one, not sure of the model but so cool for cats

The race was dominated by 911's and this Lambo after both the Aston MArtins went off. Best sounding car of the day was either the Corvettes, the Vipers or a trick Monaro.....now that was nice

Booked in at Clarks in Aberdeen for Friday...the service department said "we'll order in some rocker cover gaskets just in case we need them and some tappets too.... do I dare leave it with them
