I was lucky enough to get a few days pass from SWMBO so decided to have a waz up to Ecosse. I'd forgotten what a fantastic place it really is.

I used to lilve in Fife but never got across to the West side so after stopping off to see the other halfs folks I went to the Isle of Skye bridge and back again via Stirling, Doune, Loch Ness etc.

The A87 towards the Kyle of Lochalsh is fan fuggin tastic, and the people are much more friendly. Ever biker gives you a wave, some with one finger as you pass them round the twisty mountain roads!

I will attach a few pics to give you a taster. Mind you £2.90 EACH WAY on the Isle of Skye bridge is outrageous.

Make time in your busy lives to pay a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Agreed, should have taken the GlenElg Ferry, OK more expensive but the roads to and from are quite 'interesting'..........;)

Scotland

Hops,
Was up there myself at the start of the month on my R1100RT - Scotland has some ace roads , especially the West coast .
We [ myself and 14 yr old son ] did 2000 miles in four and a half days and had a blast - hardly any traffic and stunning scenery .

Coming back down the A82 at 4.30 am when the dawn is just breaking was fantastic - ony bummer was that I was heading for home !!

Going back when I get the chance .................

Steady Eddie
