Location
Mid wales Where roads were built for bikes
Going to have a blast up for a few days leaving here Sunday or Monday morning. Camping and taking some piccys .
Not sure where I'm going or staying, west coast maybe. just that way somewhere:D
Anyone fancy it:thumb

Wave if you pass going the other way. Off to Oban Tomorrow then Skye, Durness and then Torridon before heaing home over the Lecht on Tuesday :thumby:

Ive had a look around and this is about the best place for a meeting place.
It's macdonalds at junction 44 on the M6, there's a travel lodge there too, it's just past Carlisle, I've taken a few images so you can get your barring, if ether of us get there early then we have a dry place to site
From there it may be well worth just heading up the motorway till we feel we need to find a camping area,

Great advice equal portions of refreshment and farkles!. Have a great trip its 2 months since I was up there and im still telling folk how nice it was

Great few days with loads of rain and midges and a few bears,
First night was wild camping at Callander & Ballachulish, glencoe. Found it by chance,
We were not invited by the midges so they ripped into me and Craig, we both struggled to kip that night with the sound of the raging waters so we were both up very early packed and off to Skye not before the midges came back for seconds.

Second day was a day of mixed riding with some great scenery and another very wet day, as we traveled across Scotland we were looking forward to seeing some nice scenery it was disappointing as the weather was against us the mist was very low so very poor visibility, we ended up riding all the way to Skye, we got there a bit earlier than expected because we didn't stop as much to enjoy the views.
We met two lovely guys in Portree on the isle of Skye they told me and Craig about a lovely wild camping spot just down from the cliffs so we headed for that location.

We left the top of the cliff to head down to the wild camping area that we were told about, we found it quit easily what a spot, no midges and very quite area some campers on what looked like a disused pier, by this time the rain had stopped we set camp and lite a fire, we were set for the evening, cooked food then sat round the fire till it started to get dark, I was very cold that night but Craig said he was hot as toast.
Next morning was very nice sun was out and no rain, looking forward to a cracking day

The ride round Skye was for me the best day that fact there was no rain and the views were to die for, however we did struggle to meet any Scottish people it seems full of English telling us that they are Scottish as there great great grandfather on there mother side was from Berwick.
We did stop for a coffee at a place called Inner Seas on the west coast where I got attacked by two young girls that wanted to have a selfie taken with me,,,,,must have been that big tip I give them,,,50p,,,,I don't know where Craig was when this was going on.

The two pictures of the view was was taken at Portree- Uig

We did Kurienp.
Our last night on the island was in a backpackers hostel in Broadford, I didn't get a photo of the place but Craig said what a dump,,,,,we will leave it at that, I will say it was right next door to a funeral directors,,,,I didn't get a picture of that ether,,,

We went for lunch we had 2 pizzas 1 plate of chips 2 cokes £27 yes £27,,, it was Craig's turn to pay as I payed for the accomadition.

We went out for a pint after we freshened up as we been told about a little bar round the corner, we had a great night, we both got so drunk we were falling over as we made our way to the dump,
We meet a fascinating guy in the bar, he was the local taxi driver who was on call but was as drunk as me and Craig, but what a interesting guy, he had been the chairman of Southend United in the 80's he was also the coach driver on away games, he didn't stop telling us stories all night, I did get a photo of the guy but I was pissed so not that good, I think we got out of the bar about 11-45 that night, me and Craig don't really drink so you can imagine the state of me in the morning, Craig look fine, I was sick all over that night in the dormitory and the toilets so cleaning up was needed in the morning, it took some time to pull round to even start to look at getting the bike ready, I was unable to take anymore photos as my phone was out of charge and Honda hadn't got the 12v plug fitted to me twin in time for this trip.

One photo is of Craig fighting off a little rotweiller

No it wasn't, that place was a palace compared to backpackers, we did try that place first but it was full, we even asked to pitch the tent on the nice lawn,
