I am planning to make weekly trip in Scotland. Please advice me with places are worth to seeing....

A keen interest in entomology would be useful too, so that you can fully appreciate the true splendour of Culicoides Impunctatus

You MUST include the Northwest corner....Ullaapool-Durness-Lairg, and down to Gairloch-Shieldaig-Applecross, on the way up go via Loch Lomond/Glencoe, on the way down go via Inverness-Granton-Tomintoul-Blairgowrie. Thats it covered. Nowhere else worth going. Except maybe the islands, Sutherland, Grampian, Argyll, Borders,.....actually.... lots...but that'll do to start.

You could do worse than look at some of the vids in Baggins post above/below....some great films of great roads....will give you some idea of what to expect.

Sorry, hows the lambing going, we will be at Blairgowrie on the 26 May, hope the bloody snows away.

Actually....since you ask....fresh snow on grass everyday this week ..including today, but gone by coffee time. Now at the dizzy heights of 4 degs...but will get warmer now...hopefully that's it done. Still 3/4 drifts behind dykes and in woods. Still plenty skiing up the glen.

Lambing itself gone well; its actually healthy weather, its just there's no sign of grass, and it'll be tight whether the ewes dry up before there's grass for the lambs..all getting fed ..even singles..which will come off the bottom line...however with all the losses there's been nationally, the market price ought to be good later?

No losses to foxey woxey yet either....perhaps I need a better lamp....out again tonight.

My girlfriend has discovered the perfect anti midge technique. She takes a 6ft 1, 19st CO2 emitting mammal with her, this seems to leave her totally unmolested.

In answer to the OP, there's a couple of rides you just have to do - Applecross then back on the Shieldaig road is definitely one of them.

My absolute favourite is the ride to Glenelg, stopping for the best views of the Five Sisters of Kintail at the carpark about halfway up. Then the ferry over to Kylerhea, then the single track to the main road. Turn left towards Broadford, then keep going towards Portree. Some of the sections between Broadford and Portree are my favourite bits of Tarmac I've ever ridden!

Eat some awesome chips while sitting on the harbour wall, then keep on heading North towards Duntulm.

The Kilted Rock is a great place to stop for piccies.., before blasting on to Duntulm, the ruined castle there is so evocative, one of my favourite places to stop.

Then, reverse it, ride all the way back down Skye to the bridge, and back over to Kyle..

4 weeks and counting... Should be ideal, just before midge season!

Roads to / from / around Altnahara are some of the best IMO, as there's virtually no traffic, no people, no houses and nobody feeling they have to race you.

No grass, ground bone dry. Park sheep just starting but Shetland hill sheep in May. Just as the bloody Skuas arrive. Gales on Sunday hope theres plenty rain. No Foxies here.
