The annual meet at the Whipping Stocks pub, between Knutsford and Holmes
Chapel, takes place on the last Thursday of July.

Always worth a look. Better than a museum.

Faster than a gs though

Thanks for the info. My Commando (just road legal) racer will be there. Look for the yellow peril or keep your ears open for the loudest bike and that will be me!

Go back to bed , its too hot for you to be up. Wait until sunset!

You know me so well.................... :P :P

I`m indoors now....curtains closed.... :D :D

Any more info please?

I'd like to have a ride out to there. I'll go on my '76 Suzuki GS750B, probably only a youth compared to some of the irons that will there.
Any further info will be gratefully recieved, thanks.
Timpo.

Vintage motorcycle meet

Taken from Triumph Owners MCC:-

July 27
Whipping Stocks Show
Vintage Motor Cycle Club Event at the Whipping Stocks pub on the A50 just south of Knutsford.Meet there from 7.30pm

I'm riding over with some guys from local Triumph owers club hope to see some of you guys there.. :beerjug:

Good meet.

A quality attendance.
Saw a few GS's there and some of the oldest, used bikes ever. And I mean used. These were 'total loss' lubed bikes and they were covered in oil. The smell was bliss!
Gsers noticed there were, black/yellow r100pd, 2 yellow 12's, a white 12 GSA and a black 11 with a rusty oil filler.
Well worth the effort to attend, i think. T.

You missed my black 1150GS then , parked out front near the yellow harley with the blue neons.

Bumped into Phil ( Pipster ) and Malcolm (Zapada ). Really nice informal event with loads of different machinery.

The best thing was spotting the 'vintage' leathers and by vintage I mean 1980- 90's stuff. Fieldsheer and Dainese stuff with pinks and purples on 'em, brought a smile to my face .

One of the best was a very tall, very, v rotund chap ( ideal GSer ) wearing a set of pure white Furygan leathers with a big white Lion on the back and 'The Duke' emblazoned above it . He rode off on tricolor painted 1989 Ducati 851 with the slogan ' The Duke's Duke' printed on the numberplate.

I have been away working the last few days and just made the bike meet last night on my Norvil Commando. I was amazed at how many bikes were there, saw a few gs parked but no one I recognized. Only just got on t'interweb so sorry I did not get to see you guys.

A Year later

The meeting is on at the Whipping Stocks pub, on Thursday 26th July.

The pub is 4 miles south of Knutsford on the A50 (junction with Stocks Lane)

Beer less than £1.50 per pint also, what more do you need.

You there Mr Snapper?

:rob

See you there Malc

Me and Phil are meeting at the Legs Of Mann on the A50 nearArclid before heading over to the Whipping Stocks.

Trying to get my boss to come along . He finally got his mint '81 4,500mile CBX 6 on the road last month and hasnt really had much opportunity to ride it since:(

Didn't spot you Dave!?

Where were you Malc?

Pipster turned up at my place around 7pm and we sat out a bit of a heavy shower then set off in the rain. It was dry when we got there around 8pm and turned out to be a very pleasant evening .

Quite a good turnout considering the weather. :thumb2
