Screeching noise at high revs when changing gear

Had my GS only a few weeks now, and just noticed a strange high pitched screech / shriek when I change gear with the clutch at high revs (6k ish). Sounds a bit like a belt rubbing but not sure. Any ideas from those technical types among you?

It's an '04 1200GS and happens pretty much every time at higher revs.

never worked on a 1200 clutch.

So i have to say, "i won't be advising on your problem. I'm out".
