After some advice regarding a screen brace for my R1250GS

Recently bought a lovely MRA Vario screen off one our members
Went out today and I can say the screen is brilliant at sorting out the flow of air as I want it but it flaps about at the top like mad
Fair enough it was blowing a gale this morning over Snowdon but every bump and it flapped....much worse than the original screen and the Z Techik medium screen I had

So....looking for simple and effective, doesn't look like scaffolding and is black

Any one got one, thoughts, advice, good points, bad points

Thanks

Fitted these to my GSA https://www.cymarcbikeparts.co.uk/gs--gsa-lc-adjustable-screen-strengthening-brackets-478-p.asp

Thanks Blue Budgie - Any thoughts?
Good / Bad ?

I’ve fitted these to a number of bikes and in my opinion they do a great job! They are good quality and easy to fit, plus they don’t look out of place behind the screen.

Also fitted Cymark brackets to my 1200GS with adventure screen - steady as a rock now, previously vibrated so much that it was audible on my helmet Gopro. Usual Cymark high quality and neat when fitted. Bit of a pain having to stop to release the retaining knobs, adjust and then retighten but worth it for the stability. I added a secondary nylock nut to the two upper adjuster bolts to avoid potential loss of the original nuts and used blue locklite on the lower four nuts as I lost one after it worked loose.

I fitted the cymarc brakets to my GSA and they where so good that where i needed a wind deflector on the top due to the screen height reducing on motorway due to mental flex, with the screen brace the standard gsa screen actually stood tall and did the job it was mean't to with no extender required.

I have the puig ones, work great and no need to tighten the screws every time you adjust the screen

I had the cymarc ones and theyre solid, but you need two hands to adjust the screen when the knobs are undone as there's a bit of resistance. But that's what cruise control is for...

Here’s a shot of my MRA screen complete with Cymarc brackets. They’re pretty discrete and definitely aid screen stability :thumby:
