im 6 feet 4 tall have a 1200 gsa and need a screen extension . ive searched it but am asking the question what a good one that works . ive seen the puig one wich looks good but its not what it looks like its as long as it does its job . i dip my head about 2 or three inches and it goes nice n quiet .any help appreciated

Just to let you know got one of these off this site and its the best £50 I have ever spent in over 30 years of biking, superb!
Example, rode up from Plymouth to Yorkshire, part of the way it was hammering down with rain but......visor up no probs for a while.

I'm 6' 3" and the Touratech clip on one works very well for me. I think they even do a lockable one nowadays...

I ride the GSA adventure with seat set on high setting, and am also 6'4" tall. I have tried the following:-
Wunderlich Adjustable Screen extension (from NN): Reduces the most noise, but looks the worst. Buffeting reduction on par with the GS one.
Touratech lockable Screen Extension for GS: Nearly as good as the Wunderlich one for noise reduction, buffeting reduction same as the Wunderlich one, but looks loads better than the Wunderlich one.
Touratech locakable Screen extension for GSA: By far the best looking, but by far the worst performance wise.
Just to point out though that none of the options above make it perfect, but do improve it 50-70%. However, use one of those and put the seat on hte low setting and all becomes eerily quiet. I don't ride like this though as I prefer the extra leg room.
I decided not to try the laminar lip as it looks like it's a permanent fitting?

i have the TT GSA model. i am a dwarf like 5' 10" and find it improves buffeting and noise by a significant degree. enough that i can overlook how daft it looks, and the interference with my vision. works best when the screen is raked back one notch. distance from screen to helmet seems very important.
i still look over the top of it unless gazing at the tarmac close to the front wheel.

I thought they were overpriced and ugly untill I tried one and it's never been off the bike since(I still think they're overpriced and ugly though)

I'm quite liking the look of the Desierto 3 Fairing aswell but that's another story!

I'm 6'3" on a 1200GSA. The buffeting with the standard screen was intolerable so bought the Laminar Lip. This worked brilliantly for me with the screen set to the second highest position. The only problem was I started to get screen cracks which I put down (rightly or wrongly) to the extra stress on it due to the greater pressure put on it by the extention. So, I bought a tall touring screen from Ztechnik which is just as brilliant but is made for the job rather than rely on extention pieces. It really looks OEM and in keeping with the rest of the bikes appearance. With the standard GSA seats I have it set to the highest setting, I see over the top in normal riding mode and can be visor up all the time if I want. With Sargent seats fitted I drop the screen down a notch. This screen deflects the weather not just over my head but my shoulders too making it a very comfortable ride.

I used the TT extender, & it worked for me, but pretty it wasn't. I too have now gone for the Z Technic & it works really well, & it must be said it looks good as well. It looks like it is OE.

As the world's leading authority on screen extenders I note you mention a lockable version for GS & GSA. I went on Nippy's site and I can only see a GSA lockable version. Where did you buy your GS lockable ?
Also do these units vibrate and wobble about a lot ?

The lockable GS and GSA screens are from Touratech, not nippy's. Nippy's sells the Wunderlich one
