I had my maiden voyage on my RT-LC today and I couldn't seem to be able to use the scroll wheel to scroll through my mobile contact numbers directory via my nav5, my GS-LC has no problem in doing this but my RT is struggling or at least I am struggling.

Can it be done with this all singing and dancing machine or has the GS scored a point over the mighty RT?

Help/advice please...

Also while I'm picking brains, I managed to cancel the auto-arming of the alarm system which I find a pain in the bum, but when I do it won't arm manually, is this correct...can I lose the auto arm and still manually arm it at my choice with the key fob button.

I did ask the dealer who quickly ran through it and said it was done but apparently is wasn't.

Re the alarm,
I can set the alarm off the remote no problem and I have not got the auto alarm set,so it can be done.
Sorry I can't tell you how tho!

With the Alarm, Press the key fob once to look the cases (top button) and again to set the alarm, sometimes it takes multiple presses dependant on time between first and second press.

With the satnav, I'm struggling too, I think you need to select the sat nav menu on the bike and then use the on screen controls, i.e use the 'wonder wheel' to select +/- and then press left with the 'wonder wheel' to zoom in/out. From the 2500 miles i did on the loaner GS LC I preferred the satnav interface, especially the bike summary pages, its a shame the R doesn't have that feature!

Im even more peeved at the integrated audio, why can't you control the source selection with the wonder wheel! its a mild inconvenience of having to reach down, however I thought it should be available!

Wow that's great Jemandsi, I've just popped out to my garage and tried it...Brilliant..so that's one down and one to go!

Now for the ability to scroll through my telephone directory while on the move from the wonder wheel, I agree with you that is such a palava to have to go into the menu in order to select the zoom mode etc, often you need to use this feature very quickly especially if you are almost on a junction and you need to zoom in or out quickly.

The GS does all of this instantly and easily allows you to scroll through your mobile directory via the Nav5, so you would expect that the later more recently developed RT to be even better.

There must be a way......anyone found the answer?
