The South East is one of few regions (possibly the only) on UKGSer to have regular meet-ups. This is maybe due to nothing more than the ease of public transport we are lucky enough to enjoy.
Questions going forward:
1. For the past two years or more we have (as requested by regulars) been running these on a rolling basis. Are people happy to stick with this?
2. It was thought at the time easiest to create a diary list through the year, the dates being a Wednesday, every six weeks. Are people happy to stay with this?
3. The basic idea was to have venues, chosen and pre-booked by bods, within or close to the edges of the Oyster Card zone. In other words, the whole of London was / is all but available. Venues have stretched as far afield as Watford, Heathrow’ish, the West End, Camden / Chalk Farm, Morden, Richmond and the East End, along with a pretty decent mixture of foods. Are people happy to stick to this, too?
4. We have had at various times assorted Christmas bashes, going back years. Again, are bods content with a Christmas do, as distinct from the six-weekly rendezvous dates?
