Sea Eagles Are Back In Alba

Having been extinct here since circa WW1, these magnificent birds are back in the wilds of Scotland (well the Fife and Dundee areas are pretty wild maist weekends) thanks to a programme by the RSPB. I saw them being released into the wild earlier in the week (from a secret location in Fife of a' places). They ha' a wingspan of 8ft!

there is a stuffed one at the Blair athol visitor centre.

it stands nearly 7' tall

you have to look up to see its head

they also do good carrot cake and coffee.

Its about as far as you can get from here with a TT 9 gallon tank before you have to fill up

They are attacking sheep in Waternish Campbell has had a few killed due to them and presented the pics and a vet''s report

RSPB know better and say it's a dug that's doing it, one that is larger than a sheep

The only dug that size roon here is my nieghbour Angan's St Bernard and that'll no walk the length o itsel nevermind attack a sheep

Aros center in Portree has had a live cam on a nest for the past 10 yrs

When it got put in a daftie that worked there told it was fur seagulls

There's a lot in Skye and Mull and have been for 20 years.. Also a lot of evidence that they attack and eat lambs. There is video evidence and SNH has further evidence of this happening and are currently doing research on the problem. Ane o the buggers nearly went away wi my wee terrier on the Macleod's Table a year back. Gorgeous birds though.
