How about using -

Quantum Silver oil ,10w40 semi-synth. About £13 a gallon from GSF, a couple of quid more from VW themselves.

Because the VW engines have famous problems with valve stem seals, it contains a good amount of seal improver (sweller), so it could help those bikes that have a tendency to leak oil around the seals .

Wonder if it's worth putting in before you get any leaks ?

Leak's what leak's were's Ann Robinson when you need her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:redlight :redlight :redlight :redlight

been using that stuff in bikes & cars for years. VAG occasionally do promotions on it and sell it 1/2 price :)

didn't know it had seal sweller in it & i've never heard of the problems with valve stem seals VW engines have. how famous is this problem? :o

on the other hand , none of my vehicles smoke on the overrun so it must work :P

Only repeating what i was told by a Volkswagen mechanic -

i didn't know about the seal sweller - i'm going to put some in my Citroen, that'll give the oil a test
