SEAT CONCEPTS and my wife's arse

Ange's arse is often the focus of my attention and has always been admired by builders, van drivers etc.

Anyway, she drew my attention to 'it' for a very different reason during a recent trip.

It was aching despite having a real nice custom seat fitted

As always, she get's her own way and I have to find a remedy.

A new SeatConcepts foam and cover (with RED stitch) was duly ordered from the US and today I fitted it all together.

Firmer foam, slightly wider at the arse area ..... no dear your arse doesn't look big and a much flatter profile (the seat!!)

Of course I had to take it for a test ride whilst she was at work, I'm good to her like that
It's obvious straight away that this'll be comfy on long journeys.

So take note all you feckin useless UK seat reupholsters, we don't want soft foam, feckin Gel shite etc. Try sitting on a bike yourself for a few hours before doing it wrong again!

I reckon I may order one for one of my bikes now even .... though my arse doesn't attract the same kind of attention

Just looked in their site, they do a foam/cover kit for the GS as well, may be worth a shot, less expensive than the after market offerings in the uk.......

Yep, there's a lot of people who've sold bikes because they can't get on with the seat. I've a few friends using Seat Concept replacements on big dirt bikes for all day comfort and they do get good reviews elsewhere.

After favourable reports from my wife's arse it's time mine was given some tlc on the KTM.

I have an awfully shaped standard Gel seat which is like sitting on a banana (lengthways!!) and a tall Renazco which is sometimes a stretch on gnarly trails so just fitted a Seat Concepts foam and cover.
Used the grippy top and carbon fibre sides option instead of suade which was an extra $100.

Perfect.

That's not creases, it's shaped like that.

Ideally yes but I've done several seats now using something like this.

I also used it to transform a ttr seat using the cover and foam from a custom made 640 gel seat.

And I'm about to recover my Husaberg seat using an unused but suitable Dakar cover

i ask as i considered a seat concepts solution for my 1190. i have a similar staple gun and tried it on the KTM seat base - the staples just wouldn't penetrate, so i abandoned the idea. clearly all staple guns (or seat bases) are not equal

Try it again but push hard down on the gun as you release the staple, otherwise I think the gun bounces back a little which stops it going fully home.
I have the same trouble with some particularly when I'm 'tacking' it into shape so then need to go over them again and remove the loose ones.

I seem to have used up anything I was going to do the Fantic with so may be visiting people who have a either a leather or vinyl sofa ( I'll bring a sharp knife), meantime it'll have to be black gaffa tape
