hi guys , i am considering a gs for touring next year, i have had test rides on a low seat and low suspension options on the 1200gs the low suspension option is great , but i still find the 1200 a very big bike bike in all other aspects.. my question is what options do i have regarding the lowering of a 800 as i see that bmw do not include it there factory options,

A bit late telling you. BMW offer factory lowered suspension, and a low seat. A standard F800GS is taller than a standard R1200GS!

You should also try the F650GS, I have the 800GS but my wife has the 650GS twin, it is just as much fun and and easy to handle.

Hi. I have the F800, yes its a tall bike. I spoke with BMW at Long Eaton and they have put a lowering kit on mine. This has dropped the height by 5cm...which has taken me from toes down to feet flat on the floor. They did this by changing the front fork springs and rear shock.

Your not too far away from me, so If you want to try my bike, when the weather gets warmer, you are welcome to.:)
