seat height

hiya,collected bike today(1100gs)chuffed to bits,very good nick even the toolkits still there and very impressed with handling,and the way the engine performs,but can anyone point me in the right direction to adjusting seat height presuming you can,i,m under the impression the 1999 1100gs has two settings.any ideas

Look at the frame where the seat mounts. There is the choice of 2 sets of mountings, one above the other for high or low setting.
I'm 5'9" and use the higher setting as it gives you more legroom on the move.

has the gs1150 got the same option or you need to change the seat?

I'm also about five feet nine but prefer the lower setting, especially on long trips when I use my Airhawk seat. I've fitted Touratech footrest lowering kits to compensate for the reduced legroom.

Don't know about 1150 seat adjustment.

The specs for the 1150 seat height appear the same as the 1100 - this taken from the micapeak website - 33.1/33.8 inches (840 / 860 mm)

As the seats are fully interchangeable - the fitting system underneath is probably the same too.
