Seat nets...do they keep you cool?

If you dry your bike with a leaf blower (the best way), then this is not a problem.

or just take the covers off when you wash your bike,it only takes a couple of minutes.

You could do that, but that's another pain in the arse, and I thought these covers were supposed to stop that. :D

Removing them, and refitting them correctly each time you wash the bike will test my patience way too much, especially throughout Summer. No chance I'd do that.

My BMW Wunderlich seat is heated, with cables attached... so I'd rather leave it in position undisturbed for as long as possible.

Better for me to cover it with a plastic bag while hosing down the bike.

In Winter I'd take it off anyways.

If it got wet anytime else, I'd seriously consider a hair dryer once home and give it a blow dry.... another fucking reason for my Wife to think I've gone CRAZY :D

I use one of these from Amazon

It's nice that you are in touch with your feminine side :beerjug:

Think we all are in this thread, talking about underwear and hair nets :D

The Bollox Pub Section will be spitting blood through their a-holes with laughter, and despair :D

.... or put a plastic bag over the seat before hosing the bike down, keep the water off it.

What about if your on a bit of a tour and it pisses it down for a few days ,would you be sitting on a soggy seat ?

Yeah, well a few of their more "senior" (in their own minds) members there have contributed to this thread too. So they will be mocking themselves if they start to diss this thread. After all it was them on about undercrackers, maybe they like swapping them round in some perverse ritual of the clique :nenau:augie:D

In theory, nothing that you'd notice because when you're riding the airflow would blow any excess water away. That's what it's designed for. I'd guess while outdoors the airflow would dry it out pretty quick even while stationary parked.

My issue, is with it retaining water and staying damp for hours when the bike is moved back indoors into the garage. I don't want the water retention during indoor storage.

On the road, I wouldn't care.

I would hope if you are riding in the rain you would have waterproofs on for one , and a standard seat collect water as well , never noticed my bum getting wet as I was prepared and over night it dried , also if it was still wet due to further rain , I would don my water proofs once again and enjoy the following miles .

Just take it off when washing or use the bike dryer .

A seat doesn't hold water and dries quite quickly, i do wear waterproofs but i wouldn't like jumping on the bike with a wet soggy seat to start the day off. I still might give one a go if the Summer ever starts again !

Fitted and used mine the other day with my sheepskin cover on top and no issues from the sore ass i have been suffering from before.

I’d think by putting a sheepskin on top that would do away with the benefit of airflow through the cool cover.
