What with the different seat configurations you can buy for both the GS LC and GSA LC does anybody know if the GS LC low seat 2013 fits the GSA LC 2015?

Also tried looking for the BMW Special seat or what ever you call it, the one with the higher back arse rest and the letters embossed or stitched into it , anybody got a link , Cheers :thumb

It looks like they are the same, looking at the first few part numbers/ descriptions for both bikes. I'd be surprised if all the seats weren't compatible with both models, as the part of the frame that the seats attach to are the same for both GS and GSA. On that list, the only seats that you can't get for the GS are the blue/black and olive/grey seats from the GSA.

Stevie,

I have a set of the BMW Exclusive seats for sale, only used once because the wife didn't like the firmness. The only problem is the rider seat is the HIGH version. Was ok for me and I didn't really notice any difference?

Steve, I'm also looking for the definitive answer to this same question, although firm, I found the low seat on my previous GS-LC more comfortable than the standard seat on my GSA-LC. Perhaps I'll end up having to go to a dealer and trying a swop.

I'm looking for a higher and firmer seat for my GSA WC (and also one that doesn't pitch me forward on to the tank). Have you any more details such as price or should I look in items for sale?

Thanks

Thanks for the offer buddy , but I really need the short arse seat having a 29" leg im already at full stretch so even slight cambers when the bike is on the side stand i have no extra push in my leg to get it upright, Looks like Granny is interested though ,

Cymarc do seat lowering cams for the wet heads , about £20 IIRC. Doddle to fit, and it will get you closer to the ground ,every little helps. Check out there web site or drop them an email, I found them very helpful .:thumb2

Just to answer the questions
A few of you will join the dots
I have the lowered GS Lc the lowered seat, the cams and the daytona mini me mong with heightened insoles boots:green gri
So have got every lowering aid going , and im now going for a full height GSA.
I had a test drive with a full height and could get my foot touched down only when the owner was on the back.

Daytona do some boots with thicker insoles, which are very good, and raise you about an inch or so.

Edit - just seen that you have these already :blast:D

Oh you're properly fucked then!! :D

I found a GSA front seat didn't fit with the standard rear on a GS but the front and rear set will fit each other as they are different in the way the front and rear butt up to each other.
G

Have you tried setting the rear height adjuster to the low position to counter this effect?

Yes thanks but it puts me slightly too close to the footrests (still better than high rear)

I've committed to a Touratech high single seat so we will see if that works and if not the lowered footrests.

Swap the front seat mount (the alloy bit with the rubbers attached) for one from a r1200 rt wc, it lifts the front of the seat to a more comfortable angle

Anyone tried the Touratech "low" dual seat.

From the photos on the website it looks lower than a very low thing.
