Seat Upholstery / Trimmer

Can anyone recommend a local upholstery company?

I need a seat lowered and would prefer to go on recommendation rather than a blind pick from the Yellow pages.

I'm based in Belfast but willing to travel.

Never needed them myself, but several years ago remember speaking to some guys who had their seats recovered by "Abbey Upholsterers" funny nuff.... they were 'then' based in whiteabbey.... now in Carrick I think.

The workmanship looked as good as a manufacturer's seat, although, as stated, I've never needed them

I don't know if there is anyone local who upholster seats B&B but many guys here recommend Tony Archer in Huddersfield. From what I have read he does a very good job with a fairly quick turnaround.

These guy did a lowering job on an Africa Twin seat a few years back for me, probably not as good as the more expensive ones as their forte is car seats but I was happy with it. If they can't satisy you I have a GS1200 low seat for sale and I'm in Newtownards, cheers

Thanks to one and all for so many helpful suggestions.

Seat undergoing surgery at Davy Cochrane's in Carrickfergus.

I will post photo's of the results upon my return form our wee run to The La Man's Moto GP and "The Ring."
