Over the last 4 years of ownership i have tried most ways to modify the seating arrangement to allow more than 60 miles in one sitting to be possible without having to stop to allow the feeling to come back. Has anybody got a sensible suggestion to solve this problem, i assume the spending of large amounts of money will now be involved, ie Corbin or Sargent.
Any help to solve this problem would be most appreciated by myself and the other half.
PS, we have tried sheepskin, gel pads in a reworked seat, wearing cycling shorts, and an air seat which none have helped.

That sounds rather odd if you`re referring to the 1150 in your profile (by the way...it helps everyone to help you if you mention the relevent bike when posting queries).

The non Adv 1150 seats are the same as the 1100.....and both Glambabe and I are fine on 400+ mile days on my 1100`s,even several of them in succession.
Sub 100 mile trundles aren`t felt at all......

Unless there`s some physical malaise that you`re both suffering from,it`s hard to understand your levels of discomfort....are you facing the correct way around ?? :nenau :augie

Mmm... without wishing to be rude.. how much do you weigh? I've been riding GS's a looong time but only in the last few years have I found my current (1150) bike really uncomfortable... I've tried Sheepskin, Melvyn Gel, Air hawk seat and currently have a Corbin..now plus Sheepskin... the only difference between now and early years is that I weigh a good few stone more... 19ish at the moment...so I think the next move will be the hardest... a reduction in Beer.............:)
