Hi -
I'm selling my Wunderlich ergo seat from my 2008 facelift model GS and keep getting loads of people asking if it will fit an earlier model 1200 GS. I can't see why not, As I didn't think there was any change to the seat arrangments between models but can anyone confirm this or not?
Thanks.

I bought a used 08 model GS and wanted low seat fitted. BMW dealer simply swapped seats from another older model GS which they had in stock which had low seat, and away I went. From what I understand the changes between pre-07 & the 08 bikes were not too major and did not extend to seats.

Wht does the Wunderlich website state in terms of seat / model compatability. If the part numbers are the same then the fitting will be the same.

Thanks -
not sure on the Wunderlich seat part number as the one I have is a little diferent to their latest seat - however, like you I didn't really think the changes extended to seats and mounting points.

had a 08 gsa and borrowed mates 04 gs seat when getting mine fitted with gell pad no problem same seat base:thumb

I think it is safe to say that all the seats are inter-changeable across the range, right across the year ranges.

I know 1200GS seats will go straight on the GSA....and I would assume the GSA seat will also fit on the GS ( I assume this cos the 1200GS SE had an Adventure seat on it I think).

Hope that helps :thumb2

anyone have a spare black and grey one to sell?

Hi,

If you subscribe (£12), there is a wanted, and For Sale section on the site, and they come available on there quite often.

Either that or E-Bay....but of course if you join the happy crew, you get the added bonus of being a true member (known as Tossers....but don't let that stop you! :thumb2)

welcome anyway :thumb
