This CCP stuff is driving me bonkers...
just had a customer of mine come to my place of work this afternoon - he owns an R1150R - and has been positively spouting off about the bonuses of removing the CCP, especially as (he says) that this will help cure my surging and stop the bike running lean.
I have an '02 Adventure with Remus Y piece and K&N filter fitted back in January. Just been serviced and the surging was spotted.
Am a bit worried about long term harm to my beloved GS running lean, but do not want to go back to a standard, sewing machine sound and boring old sensible CAT stuff. I want fun on my GS, scaring old grannies and alarming R1 riders.
This guy knows his eggs, I'm certain. I can see his point as well regarding all this CAT stuff. Has done all of these mods on his own bike and is convincing me to do the same. But I am getting lots of conflicting reasons on here as to which way to go.
I want to try taking it out and I understand the procedure to follow on doing so. Is it the same procedure if I want to re-install the CCP?
PS: was going to fit a Revolution end can tomorrow. Anybody got one? Good Bad? Spend the money on a night out with a couple of Thai lady-boys??
Let me know.
(but not about lady-boys)
