Second hand clylinder head

I am considering buying a second hand clylinder head for my 2004 1200gsa.

Can anyone who knows more about parts etc than I do please tell me if all the clyinder heads for 1200gs from 2004 till 2007 are exactly the same and if so are they all likely to be interchangeable ?

I don't know but If they were 'exactly the same' then they'd have to be interchangeable, don't you think?

A left won't go on the right though or vice versa...unless you turn one of them upside down.

I wasnt inferring that left and right sides would be interchangeable rather and to be pedantic that the model years for the corresponding sides might be similar. I hope that clears up the confusion.

Why not go to an online fiche site like MaxBMW and do some research ?

Not sure from a technical point of view but 08 on were painted black.
