Hi

In the coming weeks I have a two night stay in Glasgow for work, hope to go up on the bike, can anyone recommend secure parking in the city (I'll be stopping at the Ibis/Premier Inn) and a good curry house?

Cheers

Not sure about the parking, possibly one of the multi-storey car parks might be able to help, but recently had a good meal at Charcoals Cafe in Trongate, very reasonable too :thumb2

Try the Wee Curry Shop in Ashton Lane, a little different and good food

Pub opposite, upstairs at the Chip, plenty more decent bars in Byres Rd area

Not sure about city centre overnight parking, the hotel you're at should have something?

What flags have you got on your panniers... You might want to peel of the StGeorges one

Bet I can safely leave the keys in the ignition as well :thumby

Theres a few premier inns in glasgow, would help if we knew specifically which one, if its the west regent street one the good news is the main police station in Pitt st is just round the corner, bad news is parking is a ballache, public NCP only a short walk away, find the cctv camera and try for a space close by. Theres not any bad curry shops I know of, if you want something in walking distance then sauchiehall street is just round the corner, otherwise jump a taxi to ashton lane.
enjoy:aidan

The Shish Mahal on Park Road in the west end is my favourite.
It's where the Tikka Masala was invented. That's official.
Well it was actually in Gibson street round the corner before they moved to Park Road if we are going to be pedantic.

I'm telling you, you just don't get this breadth of knowledge on lesser forums :D

Pitt St is the old Strathclyde headquarters. It's not an operational station just a big office.

Definately help knowing which one you're staying at.
