Securing helmets to bike????

Hi,

After a bit of advice....

Im doing a euro trip in the first week of October and I need a cheap and secure way to lock 2 helmets to the bike, but the catch is i need to keep them covered from the rain etc. (my topbox is to small) I have looked at the pacsafe bags but im on a budget at the moment so need to be resourceful.

Best ideas??

i just use a wire combination lock for our helmets when touring and lock them to the pillion hand holds, if it rains they get wet, but no wetter than wearing them in the rain.

I've never used one but a Pacsafe helmet bag seems ideal for your needs.

Length of plastic coated cable with a loop at each end. Pass it through the helmets and fix to the helmet clippy thing on the side of the bike.

Won't keep them dry though.

When I went to Scotland last year, I just used a hoop/wire lock through the chin guard on my TourX helmet then through the frame. For the rain you can always put them in a plastic shopping bag, just take a few with you.

What could possibly be available that is cheap, passably waterproof and large enough to cover one (or maybe two) helmets...... And what could earth could be used to secure the selfsame helmets to a motorbike......?

James, stuff yer lids in a dirty old shopping bag (with either a pacsafe or a wire cable..).

It will look inconspicuous and won't draw attention. Always dumb down and make something look shite ....
