Seeking one or two travelling companions for a European Trip or even UK Trips.


Mature 1200 GS rider putting out feelers for a riding companion or two, to tour Europe in 2016, in June Someone who has some experience touring the continent and has a reasonability laid back approach to life, though, not that laid back that they fall over!
Preferably living in Cheshire, riding a GS and are non-smokers. Not averse to camping and when the weather is clement, B&Bs / Hotels when not..
Riding will mainly at a relaxed pace. Keen on photography and historic WW11 sites would be an advantage as well as being able to string together, a few words of a foreign language.
Suit someone who is retired, no ties, has the time and the means for perhaps a four week trip, perhaps longer.
If not available or interested in this trip, perhaps you may be interested in day ride-outs or even a few days touring the UK.

Hi Chris, it's a shame you've limited yourself to GS riders only as I'd be happy to do some weekend rideouts with you but i'd be on my Honda Crosstourer :P My mate who I ride with does usually come on his GSA though if that helps:thumb2 We do some day rides and a few 3 day UK touring trips through the year.

Can't go on the longer trips due to family commitments but we are pretty laid back about what we do and where we go. Both non-smokers and heterosexual and I personally love going to the cinema and long walks in the countryside with my dog. No cat lovers need apply, thanks:D

It a very restrictive request. Like what difference does it make if they smoke? Or ride a capponord? Or don't live in Chester? Apparently a man or woman will be ok. JJH

Several big trips (ie lots of bikes) I've traveled with split into smoker and non-smoker groups

Ok .. I live in Chester.. Ride a GSA ... Regularly travel in Europe ( alone and in Groups )... Enjoy riding in North Wales... Don't smoke ..

Down side... Can't really do more than 2 weeks away.. Not done tents since Scouts..

But always up for a ride out ... Can be flexible weekdays or weekends...:thumb2
 
Don't smoke myself since 2000. Gave up a 60 day habit. Hate the smell of them. A very large % of my colleges smoke and almost all of my clients ( prisoners ) do but as long as it's outside it doesn't bother me. JJH
 
Currently live in Sale, Cheshire (which is really Manchester) but soon moving to Chester. Have a 2013 GS LC. Used to live in Germany and have done: Black Forest, Vosges, Sinsheim Museum, Eiffel, Ardennes, Harz, Verdun, Somme, Flanders. Closer to home: Peak District, N Wales, Lakes, Dales.

Non-smoker. Retired. Looking for riding companions for days and longer trips.

oh, and have a pillion who is also keen to come along when she can, especially longer trips

Since the last forum software update it seems very easy to end up double posting.

I would have applied but I moved away from Cheshire 10 years ago!
