Seen the GS on Ebay ..?

I wouldn't expect an ex-offroad skills course bike to look any different :nenau

They are usually snapped up by dealers, plastics swapped and sold as normal second hand items - at least this way there is no surprises for the buyer who might get a bargain.

And if you thionk about it... it won't of been ragged!
OK, loads of riders may of used it, but having read some of the posts on here from punters of the BMW Off Road School, most riders will have been sh!tting themselves and not used the gas grip as much as it could of.....

I think the bike has loads of scope for a rebuild into somehting trick.....

Did I read on here that the next batch of school bikes are ready for disposal? I wonder what the prices will be compared to this specimen?

Timpo.

I'd agree with that, the ex-school bike will have only been used in an(allegedly) controlled environment. If you're not bothered about looks and maybe want something that's going to get battered anyway - then who cares about split plastics an dented zorsts...at the right price, obviously?

Mind you, I'd want a bloody good bike mechanic to make sure its basically sound and straight.

Wasn't there another thread about ex-scool bikes on here?

Dunno what his reserve is but at the £2100 it's at currently, it would be great for parts let alone anything else.

if you look in his items for sale hes got 3 more school bikes.must be thinking theirs big bucks to be made

I bought an F650 GSD from the school, had it for a year, went abroad on it, sold it for 200 quid more. Yu get what you pay for. Plastics arnt that expensive, if you want a showbike, look elsewhere!

The seller is a nice bloke, i bought my K1200S from him a few weeks ago, bloody bargain!

school and Steve

I had a 650 from the school £2700 i think i paid, pxed for and 1150 with Steve (selling from ebay) he gave me £3600 for the 650 they have to be street worthy as such but most are well battered believe me i went on the course a couple of years ago when the bikes were brand new and by the end of the weekend most will have to have quite a bit of work done on them so dont expect miracles but all the bikes from the school are generally snapped up.
Vines have had them for the last 2 years and i have previously asked for 650 x chalenge from them in September all agreed etc then when they came in all of a sudden they have gone elshwhere!!(thanks Duncan)
The 800 from vines they wanted 5k but if you fish on their site they are 4k-5k depending on condition.
Steve buys s/h and p/x from Vines and Barnstormers and trades on ebay nice guy and will do px so always worth a look
maybe its sign of the times but usually these have all gone in a week!!!
