there is a nut on the fork leg i think its the one that holds the bracket for the brake line on that is really seized in there ,i have been spraying it for days but to no avail,i know if i put a big pair of grips on there and pull it will snap .
i have tried to give it a sharp tap ti dislodge it but no luck ,so i was wondering could i heat it ,i dont want to damage any fork internals ,and i do have another lower fork leg but dont really want to piss about swapping all the fork internals around .

jeh should be ok to heat just dont go close to any ruberseals or your tyre i have had bolts siez on my front engine casing I have run my engine warm for a few minutes and alloy expands verry quike job done ! them small Gas blow torches for kitchen use that they sell in aldi and lidel everry now and then come in handy a lot they have a verry accurate flame ;)

Warm up the area around the bolt, then let it cool a few times, quenching the area with a wet cloth, then warm up and try to unscrew, if that won't work, your into drilling and re tapping!

leave a solder iron on it for a while to get heat up then cool with plus gas = thats the best stuff. Also try to turn back and forwards when it starts to move
I have done it with the tip of my welder ( to warm up) but that depends sometimes on the size of the nut/stud/setcrew = up to you Dave but heat and plusgas and PATIENCE is yer friend

I had the same issue, heat was the answer I had a go with freeze spray ,days of wd40 in the end gas was the way

+1 on the plug gas. best I've used. my 41mm fork top nuts wouldn't budge last week, despite a scaffold bar on the spanner. sprayed liberally with PG then left overnight, they came right off, without the scaffold for leverage.
