self adhesive vinyl removal

Oj, almost at the point of taking the shite bag off the GS. To stop that ank getting marked, i've put self adhesive clear vinyl on it. What's the best way of removing this? Hair dryer, gentle heat?

Prefer the hair dyer method myself especially on plastic panels.

I'd go with SWMBO's hair dryer method as the RAM pads use a 3M VHB compound, so apply gentle heat to soften glue base, then slowly peel (thinking leg waxing when you want it to hurt.. so I'm told), then clean off with spirit and soft cloth to remove any signs of residue.

Lemon juice gets rid of the leftover glue....

I have used with great success eucalyptus oil to remove the sticky goo remaining from stickers etc. Should be available from most grocery stores or chemists. Smells good too!!
Agree with the hot water to soften the vinyl though.

Silvo wadding ( The stuff your Nan polishes your future heirlooms with ) removes glue of all surfaces

Hair dryer or heat gun (with care) to remove the vinyl and white spirit to remove residual adhesive.
