I've had my GS8 for just over 2 years and one thing I dont really like are the self canceling indicators, does anyone know how to take the self canceling bit off ?

It may be a good idea in theory (IMHO) but I like to signal a bit in advance of roundabouts and turnings and sometimes the damn things have cancelled before I get to the junction, so I have to keep my eye on them instead of the road and put them on again.

Not sure if its a timer or a sensor but whatever it is, it isnt something I really like. Having ridden for over 40 years its just natural to cancel them myself !!

So any thoughts and does anyone know if they can be adjusted/turned off ??

Ask your dealer to set it to the longest setting, I did with mine at last service and it is just right now.

The setting is within the computer, not sure if the GS911 can also make the change (if you know someone with one)

Thanks for the tip will ask next service as I have the same problem with them cancelling too early, if I indicate at the 300 m board on a motorway junction they cancel before I turn off:blast

That is exactly the same problem I had, they now cancel around the end of the slip

I always leave my non cancelling offside on when filtering past stationary traffic on single carriageway roads, "every little helps".

As a short term solution when wanting to keep your indicators on just hold the button down, I do this when indicating at the 300m boards.
