Yesterday I was giving my brother a hand to change his headlamp bulbs and fit tobinators. The screen and silver cockpit cover were off when we tried the lights after replacing the bulbs, oh and I removed the cable ties that hold the loom to the frame near the headstock.
When we flicked the light on there was a faint wisp of smoke and a burning smell
Ignition off, inspect the area, bulbs in OK, connections sound, wiring loom under headstock/beak area melted
Didn't know the status of the lights before we changed the bulbs but is there something obvious we missed or is the wiring loom a coomon failure point and it's an uncanny coincidence
