What a faff on pairing the sena headset to the garmin 660...it took lots of attempts and finally did it only after i'd paired my cellphone first. Anyone else had a problem doing it?
No probs here. I think the Nav IV/660 manual says to pair the phone first. I then paired my Sena headset and it was instantaneoous. From then on, you just have to remember to switch on the headset first, before turning on the Nav IV, as otherwise the Nav IV does not recognise the headset for playing music
I had loads of probs trying to pair a sena smh10 to the nav iv. It would do everything except outbound calls. Gave up in the end and took the sena back for a refund.

I hope this was operator error or are these always a faff to configure? Be good to hear if most most folks get them working easily as I have one on my shopping list once I can justify the £320 for the pair. I'm looking for easy setup with phone for in/out calls and music, sat nav instructions and pillion comms?
I have a Sony MW-600 at the moment which is OK but I want the pillion comms and I really like the idea of the ear pieces permanently fixed in the lid so even less wires.
Is it really that hard to unplug one wire??My mates given up on bluetooth after having no end of hassle trying to pair with a sat nav listening to it and then seeing it drop out just when he needs directions.

I have BT Intercom Bluetooth units fitted to my Sons and my Helmets very cheap at £66 for the pair.
no problems pairing no issues with my sat nav or music playback at any speed, and communication is fine up to about 70 mph.
ive been using them for the past 2 months and also using my one every day on my commute to work. ive never lost connection so far I am more than happy with their performance especially at that price.
I have a Sena 05 and have had no pairing issues. I read that the 05 was better value than the 10 if transmitted distance wasn't an issue. Mine seems ok up to about 15 metres in free air.
I have the SMH10 and haven't had any problems pairing with anything. It does seem a bit hit and miss when switching between channels though. Eg there were 6 of us all with Sena's at the weekend and swapping between the conference mode and chatting to my son seemed more luck than judgement. Overall been happy with it though
