Sena SMH10 firmware 5.1.1 issues

Ok so I downloaded the latest firmware and download manager and attempted to update however it hangs on 90% rendering the device useless? I tried to revert back to previous firmware but still hangs at 90%?

Any ideas running win 7 btw.

....help him quick...Just unwrapped my Sena10 yesterday and will be trying to download the update very soon this evening.

Sorted it! By putting the software in compatibility mode for Win XP SP 3? no idea why but it worked!

I run an Apple Mac and did both the Software Manager and the SMH10R firmware updates with no problem.

I would, however, take this opportunity to warn about an issue that may arise for Mac users: you get a message saying that the update cannot be run because it is not from an approved source. If you do, this is what you have to do:

"By default Apple has changed the security settings to only allow installation of apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers. To change this permanently or temporarily go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy. On the General Tab click the little lock in the lower left corner to unlock the general preference pane. Then select the Anywhere radio button beneath Allow applications downloaded from."

Do this, and it all works fine

Can I ask why you need to update the firmware? I have a pair of these which I hope to use in the summer.

I updated for use with the gopro sound pack but they always improve functionality with new devices.

All went well on my Windows 8.1 system.
