Wife and I set off on a Euro Jaunt last Friday, 17th of May.

Had my and hers (Sena 10S) comms charged the day before, (mine) using the supplied Sena Wifi Adaptor lead. Updated the software at same time, as there was one outstanding. Helmets fully charged and without any issues.

Arrived in Germany 24h later. did not ride for a day. left both helmets on charge overnight again. Set of on the ride and I literally could not turn the thing on. No juice. Used my iPhone lead to charge it from the bike whilst having little break. it charged up enough to last all but 30-40 minutes. then died. Repeated the process multiple time throught the day.
Back at the apartment, placed to charge it again, using the supplied adaptor. Helemt telling me "Batery level is low". Unplugged it an hour later, once agin can't power it on. plugged and unplugged again, turned it on. Message came through "Battery level is Low, Good bye" charged it fully using my iPhone lead.

Anybody else had this issue? Ive emailed Motolegends, but fear the coms are out of warranty now. as it has been a year since I've purchased it. Not sure if it is the software update or the wifi adaptor lead that is at fault. I have reset bot of them by pushing on a reset buttons.

I have the SC2 (Sena's version for the Schuberth)
Could it be the lead/cable? We have phones and Sena stuff around the house, and some are finicky about which cable and charger combo is used.
The fact it DID charge "iPhone lead to charge it from the bike whilst having little break. it charged up enough to last all but 30-40 minutes" suggests it could be your method of charging in the hotel?

I had a similar issue with my SRL on my Neotec 2. Brand new, after 8 months and 2 trips it simply would not charge, Could not switch it on either. Sent it back and they replaced it. Recall seeing a thread on here about exactly this. Sena problem in general?

My experience with the 50S was that if you left it all night it would sort of charge then discharge where as if you charged it until the light changed from red to blue - about 2 hours max it would then be good for a whole days riding

but Sena do seem to have issues with battery life

Other than that I find them to be good and if there is a problem the warranty is honoured without fuss

Thank you both for your feedback.

The alternative charging method resulted in the usual solid 8-10 hour constant On battery life.
It is the supplied cable that seem to discharge the battery rather than charge it yet showing a blue LED, suggesting it is fully charged.

Ive recently had an issue with a 30K.
Charged in the hotel room directly from a 13A socket and USB wall plate. Seemed to charge very quickly. It ran out at around 3 to 4 hrs running MESH.
When I got home I charged it via a small Apple phone 13A adaptor. It took much longer charging but seems to be lasting much longer but not done a long test yet.
Maybe requires a slow charge.

Update:

I have been in communication with Motolegends via their email system.
They have sent me a replacement in the post FOC. Used the new lead and helmet has charged as designed and expected.

The WiFi adaptor cable is certainly to blame here.
