September weekend hit and run ..

What time will your ferry get into Dun Laoghaire BB? I will work out a route based on your arrival time. Send me a PM or give me a ring some evening. My number is above my avatar. :thumb2

Thanks Aidan ......... Will send a PM when all booked up .....:thumb2

BB, here is the first draft of your route to Donegal. The first 40 miles aren't great fun, but at least you are getting away from Dublin. :)

From Carrickmacross on the road gets really interesting and is great fun. I was over this way myself last week with Padge & TrevMcDev and we had a brilliant run on really twisty roads.

Here is a slightly shorter option. It is 13 miles and about a half hour quicker, but wouldn't be as much fun IMO.

I can of course amend either of these routes if you wish.

BB, a couple of routes in Donegal. The first one takes you round the Inishowen peninsula and up to Malin Head, most Northerly point in Ireland and the second one takes you to Glenveagh National Park and on to the Rosses and Gweedore. South of Ardara, I've included the Glengesh Pass, which is strictly a GS road, if you or your mates don't fancy it, you can cut it out by taking the R252 west from Ardara which takes you back to Ballybofey and Letterkenny on 'better' roads. This is a whole day trip of 190 miles, so keep an eye on the weather and take it easy
