Hi there all does anyone have any ideas about why my bike serously misfires whilst accelerating hard however when you role on the power gently there is no problem at all, I have my own ideas however the dealer of course blames the after market exhaust system on there but will look at it once I have changed it and the aux lights make all the difference of course.

So I will change everything to standard and see what they can do but it does somewhat marr the perfect bike that I have and I love it to bits because it does everything that I want it to.

So please all ideas on a back of a postcard please.

Different bike but my K12s did the same with aftermarket exhaust, swapped it back, no problem.

Similar to a problem I had - a fresh set of plugs fixed it.

Had that on mine .... Rode from Norfolk to Cornwall n' bak like it :eek .. turned out to be failing coil/s . .. replaced under warranty :thumb

Plug Caps - plug leads - plugs - coil: first of all. As the gas pressure increases you need a higher voltage to create a spark, which is when plug caps etc start to break down.

I had similar symptons on my 100RS - took me ages to find the fault.

Regards to all

At low revs & small throttle openings, only one plug from each cylinder fires.

As you open up, the 2nd plug in each cylinder comes into play. Sounds like you've got a loose plug cap, knackered plug or similar. Pop the plastic plug covers off, ensure everything is correctly seated, and see if that makes a difference. You can easily dislodge a plug cap if you drop the bike.

Same happened to me. Sounds like secondary plugs or coils.
