Was using feathers, then these silver things (like feathers), then a bit of mackrel on a hook...dont know too much about fishin as you can sea :o

Ah! you've seen the light, it it was all about catching fish it would be called 'catching' not 'fishing'

Good luck for next time, and as I said before go to a tackle shop and ask for advice, they will know the answers of they are a good shop.

Oh yes and when buying fishing tackle/lures remember most of it is designed to catch anglers first with little thought for the fish.
