Serow day out

Brilliant Day

I had a great time, thanks Nud1e :thumb :D :thumb Those Serows are great
there is a lot more to see around where we went, thank god for the planks of
wood. :D The back brake lever was a little inaccessable while I was riding back
down Keeper and I was afraid to touch the front, engine braking was
non existant, hence the look of fear as I was going waaaay too fast down
that steep rocky track.
It was a brilliant day, pity about the camera not working, maybe next time. :thumb
Thanks again Nud1e, Daithi :thumb :D

Disillusioned

and there was I think "Gosh, Dave can really move on that wee bike, I'm having trouble keeping up with him on the descent, wish I was as young, agile and supple" and all the while ye had no brakes - disillusioned, that's what I am. If only PJ had been there to see you in full flight.
I've just about recovered, so I'll give the wee bike a good wash on Saturday in case I feel the need to explore a few trails on Sunday, want to check if that is a bridge over the river and if it is possible to get from Slieve Felim across to the other road.

attached is the track for Diathi
Thanks Nud1e, Yeah it was dodgy enough coming down,
I think I went down quicker than I went up. :D

Look forward to the next one. :thumb

Anyone want to try duplicating the track on a GS (gauntlet falls) :hide
Gunner's not included in the challenge. :D

Next one is when you can round up the bodies.
I'm thinking that we could head straight to Keeper and after up the track with the broken bridge before the Millennium Cross beyond Ballina, then a bit of forestry road below Arra mountain transmitter. We might be able to include a GS or two, if we bring a shovel and a tow rope.

Nowt a bit
I was implying, what would be a challenge to the rest of us on the GSs
might seem mundane to ye HP2 riders, if you would like to demonstrate
fair enough. :thumb I'd love to see ya skimming across the marsh on that yoke. :bounce1
But that 's what I was saying, the challenge couldn't be open to you, unfair
advantage (you're better) :D

Famous

Looking at the results and there seems to be a namesake of yours "Phil Gunn" winning most of these events, ye must be very proud of him, and is he in any way related to the "Phil Gunn" who got a mention in MSL in a write up on the Rally of Discovery in Cornwall.

Or is it cloning?

Anyway, congrats to all three of ye.

yes pictures, not from the top of Keeper, for anyone can get up there. Sure there were even people who got up there on foot.
What we want are pictures from the bog on Slieve Felim, pictures from the route from Rearcross to Toor. Picture of a GS ascending "Chapman's Gully", which Diathi and I avoid this time, as the horror is still to fresh in my mind.

You're bluffing Grumpy one.

Please do, are you waiting for something?
Can't wait to see pictures of you and another GS with two up
crossing a 3ft deep bog, we're not talking a little spin up the
top of "Keeper Hillock" :nenau
Show me the pictures ! :D :D :D :postpics :jes

net, could not be seen with the child on the back of a bike in the middle of a bog .X.Wife problems :mcgun :nono :nono
