I live half way between these two dealerships.

Has anybody had any work done from them?

RT 1200 will require a service after next 500 miles.

Kenny,

I love tinkering with the bike, I'm no mechanic but I can change all the fluids and brakes etc.

I would much prefer to do the work myself, as I know the standard that myself and other owners would apply to their own motorcycle.

My question is just how important is the dealership stamp in the handbook?.... and how do you switch off the service warning light?

Chris...

beats me ? the nuetral light is about as complicated as it gets on my 1100 and as the years go by even that is getting optional :P) the dealership stamp is very important to some people, and if the bike is new enough then the price will suffer without a full book of stamps

My mate has an R100RS 1978 I think, he laughs at me with my 2013 RT and complaining about a £300 6,000 mile service bill. But so far this year, he's replaced, both rear shocks, electronic ignition, coils, HT leads, 4 spark plugs (twin plug) rear light for LED new headlight, new fuel filter, had both carb re jetted.......

I say nothing haha !

Keth Garage 01542 882501. Give Les a call hes good thats who does my GSA and hes reasonable price wise. PS he always changes the diff oil every service too.
