For information, this is what I've been quoted (Including a special discount if done before end of Feb):

Cotswold BMW - £190.00
Clarks of Rednal - £212.00
North Oxford - £244.63

All are directly comparable quotes - don't include brake or gearbox oil change, and include VAT.

That’s a keen price from Cotswold. They have only been open 5 minutes, so they must be eager to lure new customers.
:mmmm

Just been quoted just under £400 for the 24000 service on my 07 1200GSA by North Oxford.

I didn't phone around as NOG have always been excellent when it comes to the service they give but I can understand those who do especially in the current economic climate.

You can't compare a 12k service price to a 24k service - the 24K is a more comprehensive service.

Just paid £200 at Cannon's (Braintree) for the 2 year 12k. I gave them a call. they were'nt busy, so they collected and delivered the bike Gratis :D

So there service is getting better :thumb

I've just had a 12000 mile, 2 year service on my 05 1200GS. This included Engine, gearbox and final drive oil, and brake fluids. But apparently not new brake pads (it didn't need them, I checked before it went in).

Main dealer, £420. Feck Feckedy feck Feck.

Jeffries of Shipley West Yorkshire have just quoted £275 including gearbox oil and brake fluid change. Does Brake fluid only last 12,000 miles or 24 months Hmmm

Was that at Linds in Norwich?

I posted it because, if you read the initial post he was comparing the price between servicing at different dealers.

I just wanted to say that I understood why people shop around as there appears to be such a wide price range from different dealers. I specifically said mine was for a 24000 mile service as I realise that it is vastly different in cost from 12000.

That was all.

They wanted £328 to service my jeep. Just thought it worth mentioning in a 12k service thread. :D

Could you tell me who 'they' were as mine needs servicing too?

Thanks.

10w50 £52.50 + vat

thank god pads were not needed.

its the cost of owning a bmw :( .
The first thing i noticed when I moved to bmw from kawasaki and yamaha. Servicing cost were almost double on the bmw.

I tried them too. LIND were cheaper.

Next service time, I'm finding a BMW specialist if there's one nearby.

Although I will say, I had no complaint about the service or the customer care. Both were excellent, AND I got a 2010 model to abuse for the day. They wheelie better than my 05 model :thumb :thumb

yeah I also had the 2010 for 3 days over the weekend.
did you noticed the yamaha rd350 ypvs style power valve set up on the exhaust (best way i can describe it)
