Hi all
Bit the bullet and doing my own servicing as far as possible. My bike's an 08 GSA. Now out of warranty it's due for the 18,000 mile service.
The Haynes manual (latest edition) tells me to, "Check the brake pedal stop bolt height and the clearance between the stop bolt and the tongue of the brake light switch."
Now, go easy on me; I'm stricly an amateur mechanic and the last bike I worked on regularly was my K100RS.
Thing is, not only can I not locate the stop bolt, I can't even see the brake light switch.
Can someone please point me in the right direction or am I right in thinking there is no stop bolt on my bike? I note Haynes say there isn't one on the R1200S. There must be a flippin' brake light switch though. Where is it?
Helpful comments will be gratefully received.
Cheers
Geoff

If its an ABS bike Geoff you won't see one as the switch is part & parcel of the ABS pump.

mmmm, thats strange my 05 gs12 has got abs,and the switch is there ,next to the rear brake lever ,its just been changed under warrantee,as it was faulty.,it was putting a red triangle on my dash .:thumb
