Servicing and Tyres

I've had the new bike (Standard 1150 GS) a couple of months and it will soon be needing a service and tyres !! ( I'll probably stick with the Tourances)
Any recommendations/ experiences. I live in deepest Northumberland and don't want to travel too far.

About the only dealer around here now that I would trust with spanners is Ian Bells at Bedlington, the mechanics there are spot on and they will do you a good deal on tyres fitted.
Personally I changed over to road biased Michelin Pilot Roads last year and now wouldn't go back to Tourances or Distanzias

Further to my last i do know a retired fully trained BMW mechanic who lives in the bedlington area and does a bit of servicing on the side , he was Northumbria police's bike mechanic for donkeys of years, if you are interested I can dig out his number

(As a fellow "civil servant" we didn't go to the NEC a couple of years ago did we?)

Yes it would be and you will be hearing from my solicitor regarding breach of promise (thought you were going to buy my bike so I could get an Adventure)
Now I know its you e mail me or contact me at work, if its basic servicing I'll give you a hand and help save some money. I've been sorting mine out for the last 4 years.

I bought my last bike of Andy and have used him for tyres in the past. Bit pricey but a nice bloke.

Sorry mate I just couldn't wait! if it's any consolation it's a maderin one just like yours. I could be tempted by those fancy seats of yours though? and I havn't any panniers yet!!!!
We could be twins if I wasn't much better looking
